We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is looking for Sorters to join their team on a temporary basis. The role will involve sorting paper, cardboard, plastics, metals from waste and recovering recycled material from the process. You will also assist with general cleaning of the walking floor and general working area.
Shift Pattern (ROTA):
Week 1 - 6am-2pm
Week 2 - 2pm-10pm
Start Date: ASAP
Main Duties:
- Hand picking items from sorting conveyor belts and inspecting recyclables for contamination.
- Separating materials into different grades of recyclables e.g. Paper and Ferrous Metals.
- General maintenance of working areas keeping the picking areas clean and tidy.
- Assist in clearing blockages and spillages.
- Cleaning the MT plant.
- Recover recycle in order to meet the company’s standards and targets.
